Thank You...Thank You...Thank You!

This will be my last entry from the Nebraska Medical Center. They are discharging me at Noon today. These folks have been so wonderful that I really have no words to describe them. They have saved my life...and so much more. We now have an ongoing relationship. To all of you who have been so supportive, I cannot say enough. The next time we see each other will be so special, because it almost wasn't gonna happen. Those of you who have come to know Kacey and Adam through this blog, through phone calls, hospital visits and other means understand just how special they are. I owe them EVERYTHING. and I cannot wait for you all to meet King Max I. You're gonna love him!

See you all soon.

  2. Neil - I won't probably get to see you until I get back from Florida but it is a HUGE relief to know you are out and on the mend as I leave town. Enjoy being spoiled by Kacey while you can.... King Max I will usurp you soon enough : )

  3. Thank you Tina. Yes, it was some night! You know, looking back, that's what Kelly used to say to me each morning when she got home!? And I'd always ask her..."weren't you wearing pants when you left last night...?"

  4. P.S. I never suspected a thing until I caught her red-handed. And so I asked the guy, "who said you could have sex with my wife?" He said, "EVERYBODY!"

Take care Neil! And thanks so much Kacey for keeping everyone informed.

  5. Gene Wilder as Dr. Frankensteen: He is ALIVE! I can joke now but you scared the shit out of all of us. I was in Austin, TX (Howdy!) when I heard the news and was going to stop by and see you on my way back. But YOU were unavailable...something about being unconscious...or was it naked with nurses? Whatever. Glad to hear you're on the mend. I'll be coming to Omaha soon to check up on you! You have been warned.

  6. Neil...I can't tell you how happy I am that you're OK. (Relatively Speaking) I've been praying with everyone else and...I'm just glad you're OK. Big thanks to your children for this blog. Take it easy Uncle Neil and God bless.

  8. Dearest Neil, Today is May 3rd and I'm only just finding out what happened. I am so sorry that I wasn't there praying for you while you were in such perile. What a huge relief that you got through that frightening ordeal and are on the mend. I'm so happy to learn of your amazing progress. I'm sorry I wasn't there for you. It's been about 7 years since I've seen you, but I still think of you. Please do whatever the doctors and therapits tell you to do, so you can return to full strength. Should I make the joke about how there are easier ways to get time off work? ;-)

    Take care. --Dallas
