Thanks to everyone...(from Neil)

I cannot believe the outpouring of support for me and my family during this difficult time. It means more to me than you know!

While I appreciate all of the special care I have had here at the Med Center I can without qualification not recommend those fucking paddles. Watching myself become airborne is something I never want to experience again.

Thanks again for all your support. Hope to see y'all again soon!

Neil

  2. Well, we don't want you to experience the fuckin paddles again either. I'm really glad to hear you're feeling better and hope you get out of the hospital very soon (although you may want to stay a lil longer because of all the cute nurses Kacey says have been taking care of you). I'll try and see you when I come to town in the near future. And Kacey, thanks for your updates on your dad's status. It certainly has helped those of us who are out of town who were worrying about your dad. He certainly his lucky to have a wonderful daughter like you. Good luck and see you soon.

  5. Neil - we have come through a Saturday unscathed and are on day 3 of flawless automation for the NCAA so you just rest and don't worry about us. And thank you for dropping the F-Bomb....we can all rest easy.... we were worried. Hugs - Julez

  8. Neil, this may possibly be the greatest day of my life. I'm so glad that you are movin around and dropping f-bombs. Quite phenomenal, yet expected from all of us. Latavia, Scoop and I have been on our best behavior for Julie...we only enjoy making you tear your hair out :)
Oh and also you missed some concoction today from the Stoysich guys. It was a hard boiled egg wrapped in sausage. You would have been entertained by it.
    See you soon!

  10. Not quite the "vibration" you were hoping for with those paddles, eh Neil?

You tough old bastard, you had us all worried. Do that again and I'm going to switch out your hot nurses with three hairy French MALE nurses.

Get yourself outta there ASAP. We love you, big guy!

  11. Neil F. Nelkin,

Now that you've dropped the F-bomb, we know you're getting f-ing better.

  12. Nei: I can not tell you how happy I'm to hear you are felling better. God you scared the hell out of me BIG GUY.

After all these years I did not know that St. Patrick's Day parade was so hard on you.

Maybe if you had drank the Irish Coffee i offered you it might have thinned the blood down.

You know I have used that excuss for years.

We all know you are getting better when we hear the F-BOMB, that is a good side.

    Your Saturday Morning Partner.

  16. Neil, I'm so happy to hear you're doing better! When you're better and back at work, I'll take some time off from my job to come see you. You are one of the main reasons I really miss working in radio.

  20. Hey asshole . . . No one's called me an asshole in a while. You don't get back here soon and I might start thinking I'm hot shit.

  21. Dear Neil,
Senator Nelson asks about you everyday and I was so pleased to give him an update thanks to Kacey and your blog and tell him what you said and that, judging by that, it appears you're on the road to recovery.
To all readers please let me assure you that Neil has never used the F bomb around Senator Nelson, or me, for that matter.
I have my fingers crossed that today's call in show will come off ok. As you know, he's in DC, Alloway is in Lincoln at the Husker Sports Network, and we're flying with DC engineers and without Neil at the helm.
If it doesn't come off ok I'm going to borrow those paddles and use them where appropriate.
See you soon. Keep getting well!

  22. This blog strand brings back a lot of great memories. Kind of like childbirth - you don't remember the pain after so many years. ;0)
Still sending love and prayers your way Neil - let me know when you ready for a back scratch'n.

  23. Neil -
I'm so, so, so, happy and relieved that you are doing better and eventually be going home! I knew you would pull out of this one, you truly are superman. Before, I had the most respect for you out of anyone I have ever worked in radio with. Now that is just amplified. Now I'm pretty sure the saying goes, "Will it kill ya to take a vacation?" applies in every since of the word! =)

No one quite "hates" me like you do Neil. :)

I hope to see you around the station sometime soon!

    Chris
